Obtaining a Court Order when no defence is filed

As the Debtor has not filed a statement of defence or any other document then your claim proceeds as an undefended matter. If you are not claiming interest or claiming interest which was agreed at the outset between you and the Debtor, you can ask the District Court to make a Court order which outlines the money the Debtor owes you. This is called entering judgment by default. At the same time the Court will seal judgment.

There is a filing fee of $40.00 to seal judgment.
