DEBT COLLECTION SERVICE 
CollectIT Limited is pleased to offer a debt collection service where we will manage the debtor management process for you.
This service is aimed at businesses who do not wish to use the DIY
collectIT system for the collection of some or all of their debts.
The feedback we have received is that debt collectors can be deliberately vague about the costs incurred in collecting debts.
collectIT wants you to know at the outset what the costs will be for
collectIT to manage the debt collection process on your behalf.

In every case where you wish
collectIT to manage the debt collection process you will need to fill out, sign and send an
authority to act form.
DEBTOR MANAGEMENT
collectIT undertakes:-
• To send letters, emails and make telephone calls to your debtor at their discretion.
• To complete this process within a six week time frame, starting from when you request
collectIT to act.
• To send letters on
collectIT letterhead.
• To keep you informed during the process.
• To start Court action at your request if the debt is not recovered or an arrangement with your Debtor to pay is not made.
CollectIT’s Costs
If you are a
collectIT subscriber to the DIY system you will receive a 25% discount on
collectIT’s costs outlined below.
You pay:-
$57.00 + GST fee per debt payable by you in advance,
AND
20% + GST commission on the total balance outstanding per debt. This commission is only payable if the debt is collected.
COURT ACTION
collectIT undertakes:-
• To prepare documents to commence a claim in the District Court;
• To arrange service of documents on debtor;
• To prepare Court order;
• To prepare documents to enforce Court order:-
You choose from the following four options
(1) Attachment order
(2) Distress warrant
(3) Bankruptcy
(4) Liquidation
• To complete enforcement process.
• To keep you informed during the process.
CollectIT’s Costs
If you are a collectIT subscriber to the DIY system you will receive a 25% discount on collectIT's costs outlined below.
You pay:-
Obtaining a Court Order
$395.00 + GST fee per debt payable by you in advance,
AND
20% + GST commission on the total balance outstanding per debt. This commission is only payable if the debt is collected.
Enforcement of a Court Order
$395.00 + GST fee per debt payable by you in advance,
AND
20% + GST commission on the total balance outstanding per debt. This commission is only payable if the debt is collected.
For Court action there are additional costs which you have to meet. These are:-
A. Court filing fees, payable by you in advance – recoverable and added to your Court order.
B. Process server’s fee serving your debtor with Court documents, payable by you in advance – recoverable and added to your Court order.
C. Lawyer’s costs – If the Court claim you make is defended by the Debtor and you do not wish to represent yourself at a Court hearing, you can engage your own lawyer or collectIT will arrange one for you. collectIT will not charge you to arrange a lawyer but you will be responsible for the lawyer’s charges.
D. Advertising charges only if you choose liquidation as your enforcement option.
