Melanie O'Neills' autobiography

Melanie was born and raised in Cambridge. A love of English and Music saw complete a double degree in Law and Music at Canterbury University. She then went on to obtain a Law Degree with Honours from Canterbury University in 1991 and began her career in Auckland.

After some time in Auckland, Melanie returned to the Waikato to work for one of the largest law firms in the area. In 1995 she achieved her Masters in Commercial Law with Honours and then at the tender age of 30 she was made a partner of Tompkins Wake.

In 2000 Melanie focused on building her own practice as a Barrister, which gave her the ability to choose her own hours of work and to devote some time to family and other interests such as running and golf.

Melanie still enjoys her music. She has sung and played piano for a Waikato music group for a number of years and tries to attend as many musical events as she can.

Her background in the legal profession adds an understanding and expertise of the processes involved when dealing with the courts in regard to debt collection.
