Did you know that sending faxes randomly is now considered spam?

From 20 October 2011 any faxes that you have received which you haven't asked for and don't want, are now officially classed as "spam". As with unwanted emails, these faxes are now "spam" following an amendment to the Unsolicited Electronic Messages Act 2007.

What this means is that a commercial fax with a New Zealand link can no longer be sent by an individual or company unless the recipient of the fax has consented to receiving the message.
